Overview

This policy applies to all purchases made at shop.veturmusic.is and is in accordance with Icelandic consumer protection law (lög nr. 48/2003 um neytendakaup) and the EEA Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

Physical Products (e.g. Vinyl Records, Merch)

Right of Withdrawal
As a consumer purchasing online, you have the right to cancel your order and return physical goods within 14 days of receiving your item, without giving any reason. As a goodwill extension, we honour returns up to 30 days from the date of receipt.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • In its original, undamaged condition
  • Unplayed and in its original packaging (including shrink wrap, if applicable)
  • Accompanied by your receipt or proof of purchase

To initiate a return, contact us at info@veturmusic.is before sending anything back. Returns sent without prior contact will not be accepted.

Once your return is accepted, we will provide a return shipping label and instructions. Upon receiving and inspecting the item, we will notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Digital Downloads

Under the EEA Consumer Rights Directive, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content once delivery has begun — provided the consumer has given explicit prior consent and acknowledged that the right of withdrawal is thereby waived.

By completing a purchase of a digital download on our store, you confirm that:

  1. You request immediate delivery of the digital content, and
  2. You acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is forfeited once the download has begun.

If a download fails or is otherwise defective, please contact us at info@veturmusic.is and we will make it right — either by re-delivering the content or issuing a refund.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon receipt. If your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us immediately at info@veturmusic.is with a description and photo of the issue. Under Icelandic law (lög nr. 50/2000 um lausafjárkaup), you are entitled to a 2-year legal guarantee on physical goods. We will arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund as appropriate.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item, please return the original (following the process above) and place a new order once the return is accepted.

Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned:

  • Digital downloads where delivery has commenced (see above)
  • Opened vinyl records where the shrink wrap has been removed, unless the item is defective
  • Gift cards
  • Sale items marked as final sale at time of purchase
